ProGlobal is recruiting for a key leadership role for this well known firm. The position will either be offered at Senior Manager or Director level and requires an expert within Private Client tax. This will be well suited to someone who is likely currently working in the UK but is keen to explore a new opportunity on the beautiful island of Guernsey.
Key responsibilities will include:

This will be well suited to someone who is likely currently working in the UK but is keen to explore a new opportunity on the beautiful island of Guernsey.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Working primarily with local fiduciary companies servicing a diverse portfolio of offshore trusts and underlying companies. There will also be opportunities to deal with high net worth individuals, including UK resident non doms.
- Overseeing the trust and underlying company UK income tax, capital gains tax and inheritance tax compliance functions
- Review of ad hoc tax advice in relation to offshore trust structures and private clients
- Preparation of more complex tax advice and effectively acting as an expert in the field, within the firm.
- Assisting with the development of junior staff and also continuing to develop the wider team.
- Assisting with business development and the production of technical publications.
The role will provide both technical and managerial support to the Tax Partner and a strong working knowledge of UK tax and offshore trust structures is required. Knowledge of Channel Islands tax would be an advantage but is not essential. The role will involve working with colleagues in Guernsey and Jersey, as well as the UK.
Ideally the candidate will be either CTA or STEP qualified or hold an equivalent qualification. The role will be client facing with opportunities for business development so good communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential.
