ProGlobal is working with a renowned Professional Services provider in recruiting for a talented Audit Manager with responsibilities as follows:

• Managing a diverse client portfolio.  This will involve managing client relationships and a team of auditors at various levels of experience and qualification.
• Responsibility for managing the smooth running of all aspects of the audit process, ensuring audit files are reviewed and completed to an exceptionally high standard within required deadlines.
• Proactively driving the audit process from start to finish, ensuring that the client deadline is met through an efficient and effective audit, delivering a high quality of service.
• Managing, coaching and effectively leading a team, providing regular individual feedback to team members in order to provide an efficient and effective audit service to our clients.
• Managing multiple deadlines and relationships, both internally and externally, with staff, managers, directors and clients, highlighting audit issues and risks and ensuring all queries are dealt with through the team.
• Managing budgetary aspects of client portfolio, driving efficiency, value and lock-up, to maximise cashflow.
• Supporting all business development activity, and being responsible for a specific industry sector or technical area, and being regarded as the “expert” in that particular field.
• Assisting in the delivery of other accounting/advisory services to client companies as required.
• Building meaningful working relationships with clients, using this network of contacts to identify selling opportunities.

Skills Knowledge and Expertise required:

• ACA / ACCA professional qualification or equivalent
• 1 – 2 years relevant experience in audit manager role with own portfolio of clients
• 2 – 3 years post qualification relevant experience of duties in an audit role reporting to senior management.
• 2 – 3 years experience managing or supervising audit teams
• Thorough understanding of the audit process, statutory financial statements and required disclosure
• Strong technical knowledge, to include IFRS and UK GAAP
• Leadership skills; the ability to manage and develop a high performing team and carry out effective performance reviews
• Excellent organisational, planning, administrative and time management skills
