Job Details: The Cayman Islands are located in the blue waters of the Caribbean Sea about 150 miles south of Cuba. They are made up of three main islands. The largest and most developed, Grand Cayman, has a population of about 35,000 and is 76 square miles or 22 miles long and 8 miles at its widest point. Grand Cayman stands 90 miles away from Cayman Brac and Little Cayman, which are separated by only 5 miles.  The islands are world famous for their white sandy beaches and together with the stable climate all year round, it is not surprising that more and more people make the move to the Caymans for an improved quality of life!!

ProGlobal is working with this renowned firm in recruiting for Audit Seniors within its Insurance and Asset Management teams.

Your remit, within a large and vibrant team will include responsibility for the entire audit from planning stages through to final client report.  Your day to day responsibilities will include:

• Supervise financial reporting and Statutory filing and compliance assurance engagements of clients.
• Apply technical knowledge of US GAAP, Canadian/Bermuda GAAP, and International Accounting Standards, to enable effective completion of audit engagements.
• Supervise multiple concurrent engagements with professional staff and direct the preparation and completion of reports, accounts and financial statements.
• Ensure quality in delivering client service by directing daily progress of fieldwork, reporting directly to managers and partners of engagement status, and managing performance of assistants.
• Conduct risk and business cycle analysis of clients' business to develop appropriate audit plans to address identified risks and to ensure accurate reporting.
• Be involved in the process of providing advice and assistance to clients on issues relating to accounting, taxation (if applicable), internal controls, and regulatory and financial reporting.
• Mentor assistants by counselling and assisting them in the management of all aspects of their work lives and in obtaining their career objectives. 
•  Contribute to the development of assistants through on-the-job and in-house training and development courses.

Suitable candidates must possess the following:

• An internationally-recognised accounting qualification such as CPA/ACA/ACCA. 
• Strong in-charge or senior experience ideally with a 'Big 4' or 'Top 10' firm. 

It should be noted that candidates do not require Financial Services audit experience as training will be fully provided.
