ProGlobal Consulting is partnering a major FInancial Services organisation in recruiting for a role which guarantees personal growth and development. As an IFRS Specialist and a member of the Group Accounting Policy team, you will bring your know-how and will help set up a Centre of Expertiseand will be the first point of contact for technical advice regarding IFRS.
Being responsible for the group accounting policies and procedures you will support the group business divisions and corporate centre in reporting consistent and accurate financial information. Your proactive research and planning will allow the Group to implement new standards and policies and you will represent the organisation and industry in shaping the future of international financial reporting standards.
You will also be involved in special projects such as debt and equity offerings, mergers and acquisitions, transaction support related to global change projects and general process improvements.
Requirements:
As a qualified accountant (CPA/CA preferred) you will have experience in applying IFRS and will have gained experience in an international Financial Services/Insurance company or in a public accounting firm. You will be a global thinker and team player who can work effectively in an international matrix organization. As an excellent communicator and networker you will possess the credibility to interface with your business partners. Fluency in both written and spoken English is a requirement (German an asset).
