US Tax Accountant - Bermuda/Bahamas (Caribbean)

Job Details: Consisting of seven main islands and 170 islets, Bermuda is an overseas territory of the United Kingdom in the North Atlantic Ocean. Visitors are attracted to beaches with pink sands and turquoise seas, beautiful colonial buildings and a subtropical climate, seasonal variations ranging from 90°F/ 33°C in summer to 55°F/ 18°C in winter.
The island is the most mature of the offshore business jurisdictions, with no direct taxes on personal or corporate income. Bermuda's economy is experiencing a slight turnaound and as employment opportunities move in a positive direction, this particular firm is recruiting for an experienced US Tax Accountant.
The position involves working with corporate tax clients from the insurance and investment industries, including partnerships, hedge funds and compliance companies. It will be solely US Tax. Work will be around 80% compliance and 20% advisory.
Suitable candidates will possess a track record of US tax experience and will likely have qualified in either US or Canada. Big 4 experience is certainly preferred but not essential. Demonstrable leadership skills and experience is imperative.
